The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team handled Liberty in three sets on Thursday, October 2.
The Lady Hornets won 25-15, 25-22, and 25-17 to break a two game losing streak. Senior Peyton Wilson led the team with 18 digs and had 5 assists and six points. Junior Darci Warriner had 16 points, 5 kills, and 13 digs, Junior Haley Zuchowski had 13 digs, and Sophomore Kirsten Florio had 8 kills.
Senior Paige Carr had 10 digs on the night, Senior Danielle Mihalik had 11 kills, and Sophomore Morgan Florio had 7 points and 7 digs.
In the JV game, the Lady Hornets won 2-1 (25-18, 15-25, 18-16) to improve to 10-2.
With the win, the Varsity team improves to 8-4 (3-3 NTL Division 1). The team will be back in action on Monday, October 6 as they host Williamson.
