Lady Hornets sweep Troy

The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team swept Troy in their first regular season match of the season on Tuesday, September 3.
The Lady Hornets took the first two sets 25-9 then won the final set 25-14 to finish the sweep.
Caitlyn Callahan led the Lady Hornets with 10 kills, 20 points, and 3 aces, sophomore Jordan Judlin had 10 assists, junior Breighanna Kemp had 10 points, 1 ace, and 9 assists, senior Ryann Adams had 8 digs, 6 points, and 1 ace, and junior Bailey Monks had 5 kills and 3 blocks.
Senior Megan Starkweather added 3 kills and a block.
Wellsboro also swept the JV game 25-11 and 25-7 to start the season off with a win.
Wellsboro (1-0, 1-0 NTL Large School Division) travels to Towanda on Thursday, September 5.
