NEB Sweeps Wellsboro In Volleyball Season Opener

Northeast Bradford spoiled 1st year head coach Darci Warriner's debut as they swept the Lady Hornets 3-0 on Tuesday, August 29.
The Lady Panthers took all three sets in a tightly contested match. They won the first set 27-25, the second 25-18, and the third 25-22.
Senior Meredith Brownlee led Wellsboro with 10 points, 7 kills, and 6 digs while junior Lexi Urena had 6 points, 2 kills, and 16 digs. Senior Natalie Cleveland made 16 digs and scored 4 points, sophomore Taylor Main had 9 digs and 9 assists, senior Olivia Chilson had 4 kills, and freshman Ellie Largey had 5 points, 4 assists, and 7 digs.
Wellsboro did start out the night winning the JV game 2-0 (25-23, 25-12).
The loss starts out Wellsboro 0-1 overall and 0-1 in the NTL Large School Division. The team is back in action at Cowanesque Valley on Thursday.
