Hornets beat Canton in 5

The Green Hornet volleyball team defeated the Canton Warriors in five games Saturday night in Wellsboro. Wellsboro got off to a good start by winning the first game 25-11. Canton won the second and fourth games before Wellsboro put the nail in the coffin in game five. With the win, Wellsboro improves to 4-1 and has won four consecutive games.
Junior Hannah Zuchowski led the Hornets with 25 kills and Senior Marissa Cornell added 20 service points.
In JV action, Wellsboro defeated Canton in two games (25-9, 25-16). The Hornets return to action Tuesday, September 20, as they travel to Williamson. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m.
