Hornets drop Athens in 3

Wellsboro defeated Athens 3-0 in a non-league match last night in Athens. Junior Mackenzie Marple led the Hornets with 11 service points and Senior Marissa Cornell added 10. With the win, Wellsboro improves their record to 7-6 overall (5-5 NTL West).
In JV action, the Hornets defeated Athens 2-1 to put their record at 11-2. The Hornets will be back in action on Tuesday, October 18 as they travel to Towanda to take on the Black Knights. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m.
