Hornet Volleyball downs Canton

The Wellsboro Varsity volleyball team picked up an NTL win over Canton on Friday night.
The Hornets won the match in three sets; 25-20, 25-16, and 25-19. Senior Hannah Zuchowski had 17 kills, 10 digs, and 6 points. Senior Mackenzie Marple had 13 points and 20 assists and Junior Kaelyn Keane added 3 blocks and 9 kills.
In JV action, the Hornets won 25-21 and 25-19 to improve to 5-1 on the year. With the win, the Varsity team improves to 4-2 overall (3-1 NTL West).
The team will be back in action on Tuesday, September 25 as they host rival Mansfield.
