Hornet volleyball sweeps Canton, 3-0

The Wellsboro Varsity volleyball team swept Canton tonight 3-0 at home.
The Hornets took sets one and two 25-15 and won the third set 25-12 to claim the league victory.
Senior Hannah Zuchowski led the team with 20 kills. Senior Mackenzie Marple had 24 assists, 14 digs, and 10 points, while Junior Alex Kurtz recorded 13 assists and Junior Kaelyn Keane had 13 points.
In JV action, the Hornets beat Canton 2-0 for their 11th win of the season.
With the win, the Hornets improve their 2012 season record to 8-4 (5-3 NTL West). The team will be back in action on Thursday, October 11 as they host Athens.
