Volleyball team shuts out NEB

The Wellsboro Varsity volleyball team finished out their regular season with a 3-0 win over Northeast Bradford over the weekend.

The Hornets won the first set 25-9, and took the second and third sets 25-19. Senior Hannah Zuchowski led the team with 14 kills, 11 points, and 11 digs. Senior Mackenzie Marple recorded 14 assists and 10 points, while Senior Josie Dean pitched in 9 points and Junior Katie Straniere added 8 digs.

In JV action, the Hornets 18-4 after they defeated Northeast Bradford in 2 sets (26-24 and 25-19).

With the win, the Hornets improve their record to 15-4 (5-3 NTL West). The team will be back in action soon in District IV playoffs. Stay tuned to WellsboroAthletics.com to find out their opponent.
