Zuchowski records 800 kills in win over Athens

Senior Hannah Zuchowski recorded her 800th career kill tonight as Wellsboro swept Athens, 3-0.
The Hornets cruised in the first two sets winning 25-8, and took the third set 25-18 to claim the non-league victory. Zuchowksi had 20 kills, 19 digs, and 10 points for the Hornets. Senior Mackenzie Marple added 18 assists, 8 digs, and 6 kills, while Junior Alex Kurtz recorded 9 assists and Junior Kaelyn Keane had 15 points.
In JV action, the Hornets defeated Athens in two sets 25-14, 25-14 to pick up their 15th win of the season.
With the win, the Hornets move to 11-4 (5-3 NTL West). The team will be back in action on Tuesday, October 16 as they host Towanda.
