The Wellsboro Middle School Volleyball team rebounded from a weekend loss for a 2-0 win against Cowanesque Valley on Monday, October 12.
The A-team won 25-17 and 25-14. Ryann Adams was back in action and was a contributing factor to the teams win with 14 serves, 13 points, and 2 aces. Megan Starkweather was another lead server with 16 serves and 14 points. Megan also led the team in hits (1 spike and 3 kills).
Caitlyn Callahan contributed 1 spike and 1 kill, and Ryann Adams with 1 spike, Cathryn Brought (5) led the team in assists, and Shiloh Duff (7th grader) stepped in as libero, having a successful night passing and digging.
In the B-team game, the Lady Hornets lost 25-17, 18-25, and 11-15. Abigail Colton (10) and Haley Osborn lead the team in serves.
The win improves the team's record to 8-2. The team will be back in action on Wednesday, October 14 as they host Troy.
