The Wellsboro Middle School Volleyball team continued their great season with a 2-0 win over Athens on Monday, October 3.
The A-team won 25-13 and 25-22, while the B-team lost 2-1.
Skylar Runyan (14 points, 1 ace) and Alina Pietrzyk (7 points, 3 aces) led the team in service, while Brei Kemp (13) and Skylar Runyan (6) led the team in assists. On the hitting side, Chelsie English and Shiloh Duff each had 4 spikes and 2 kills. Kemp had 3 tips and 1 block, and Chelsie English also recorded a block. Kathryn Burnett did a phenomenal job on serve receive.
The win improves the young Lady Hornets' record to 7-1. The team will be back in action on Wednesday, October 5 against Wyalusing.
