Callahan named NTL Offensive Player of the Year

Sophomore Caitlyn Callahan was named NTL Offensive Player of the Year on Wednesday, November 22 as the NTL and District IV announced their All-Star teams.
Callahan and seniors Cheyenne Sherman and Brianne Keane were named to both the NTL Large School Division and District IV Class AA All-Star teams.
In addition to being named the NTL's Offensive Player of the Year Callahan was a 1st team selection on both teams. As a first-year starter, Callahan led the Lady Hornets in kills (211) and blocks (64) and was second in assists while scoring 124 points with 40 aces.
Sherman was a 1st team selection on both all-star teams. Sherman led Wellsboro with 212 points and 243 digs and was second on the team with 50 aces and 187 kills. For her career she accumulated 235 kills, 62 aces, 293 points, 25 blocks, and 389 digs.
Keane was named to both 2nd team all-star teams. The senior led the Lady Hornets with 62 aces and 637 assists. She was second on the team with 200 points. For her career she tallied 107 kills, 102 aces, 418 points, 259 digs, and 1,167 assists.
