Lady Hornets sweep Canton, 3-0

The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team swept Canton, 3-0 in NTL cross-over volleyball action on Tuesday, September 12.
The Lady Hornets took the first set 25-12 then won the second 25-18 and the third 25-16.
Senior Cheyenne Sherman had 7 kills and 16 digs, sophomore Caitlyn Callahan had 1 block and 7 kills, senior Brianne Keane had 22 assists, and senior Jillian Graver made 2 blocks, scored 9 points and had an ace.
Junior Heidi Zuchowski scored 9 points, had 4 aces and 4 kills, sophomore Megan Starkweather had 4 kills, senior Hannah Burnett had 8 digs, and sophomore Ryann Adams scored 9 points.
Wellsboro won the JV game 2-0 (25-18, 25-17) to improve to 3-0.
The Varsity win improves the Lady Hornets' record to 3-0 (2-0 NTL Large School Division). The team will be back in action on Thursday, September 14 at Towanda.
