Lady Hornets Fall To Liberty

The Wellsboro Volleyball teams suffered defeats to rival North Penn-Liberty on Tuesday, October 4.
The JV team lost 2-0 (25-11 & 25-6) and the Varsity team lost 3-0 (25-19, 25-14 & 25-9).
Senior Emily Starkweather led Wellsboro with 5 points, 3 kills, and 10 digs while sophomores Lexi Urena and Paige Logsdon scored 5 points each. Logsdon also added 5 kills, 4 blocks, and 8 digs. Urena finished with 5 assists and 9 digs. Junior Meredith Brownlee added 3 points, 4 kills, and 5 digs. Senior Maddi Bordas chipped in 8 assists and 5 digs and junior Mya Lockett added 3 kills and 3 digs.
The loss drops the Lady Hornets to 7-6 (4-4 NTL Large School Division). The team is back in action tomorrow night at Athens.
