Lady Hornets Swept By Wyalusing

The Wellsboro Varsity Girls Volleyball team was swept 3-0 by Wyalusing on Monday, October 24.

The JV team ended up pulling out a 2-0 win, beating the Rams 25-22 and 25-23 to improve to 8-13.

The Lady Rams cruised in the first and third sets winning 25-11 and 25-13. Wyalusing also won the second set 26-24.

Sophomore Paige Logsdon led Wellsboro with 8 points and 4 kills while senior Emily Starkweather had 6 kills and 11 digs. Junior Meredith Brownlee had 5 points and 8 digs, junior Natalie Cleveland recorded 12 digs, and senior Maddi Bordas had 11 assists and 4 digs.

The loss drops the Lady Hornets to 11-10 (7-6 NTL Large School Division). The team is back on the court for their final regular season home game, and Senior Night, tonight against Athens.
