The Wellsboro Volleyball team made the long trip to Wyalusing and came home with a pair of victories on Thursday, September 28.
The JV team started out the night with a 2-0 sweep while the Varsity team won their second straight match with a 3-0 sweep.
The Lady Hornets took the first set 25-21 and the next two sets 25-19.
Senior Meredith Brownlee and junior Lexi Urena each recorded 9 kills, sophomore Taylor Main scored 8 points with 2 aces, made 7 assists and had 12 digs, senior Natalie Cleveland had 16 digs, and freshman Ellie Largey scored 5 points (5 aces) and made 5 assists. Urena also scored 12 points on 4 aces.
The win improves the Lady Hornets to 7-5 overall and 6-2 in the NTL Large School Division. The team is back in action on Monday for a non-league game against South Williamsport. It will also be Senior Night.
