The Wellsboro Junior High Volleyball team suffered a 2-0 loss to Canton on Monday.
Canton controlled the first set 25-12 and won the second, 25-19, for the sweep.
Harper Bourret had 6 points and an ace and Nora Mickey scored 4 points and also had an ace. Bourret, Mickey, and Rachel Weaver all had one kill each, and Weaver recorded 2 assists. Alexis Dunning also added an assist and 2 digs.
Reese Eckart also chipped in with 3 digs.
Wellsboro won the B game in three sets. The won the first 25-16, lost the second 25-16, then won the third, 15-9.
Naleyah Greenfield led the team with 15 points and 4 aces while Emma McConaghy scored 10 points (4 aces).
The young Lady Hornets are back in action Wednesday at Athens.
